Cooling fan bearing introduction: analysis of advantages and disadvantages of different bearings
Sleeve bearing:
When the traditional DC brushless Cooling Fan motor is designed, the fan blade turns) and its shaft core pass through the oil bearing, referred to as sleeve bearing, and the pivot is fixed in the central position of the motor stator, so that there is an appropriate gap between the rotor and the stator, of course, there must be a gap between the shaft core and the bearing, so that the shaft core will not be deadlocked and unable to operate; The stator structure part of the motor is referred to as the stator, after the power input, the induction magnetic force line is generated between the rotor and the stator, and the control of the drive loop makes the fan motor run. Therefore, the traditional fan motor architecture has only one fan rotor, one motor stator and one drive loop, and it runs with the magnetic field induction by connecting the shaft core with the bearing.
Advantages of oil bearing:
1. Resist the impact of external forces, less damage caused during transportation;
2. The price is cheap, compared with ball bearings, the price is very different.
Disadvantages of oil bearing:
1. The dust in the air will be sucked into the core of the motor due to the operation of the fan motor, and the lubricating oil stored around the bearing will be mixed into mud, which will make running noise and even stick.
2. Bearing inner diameter is easy to wear, short service life.
3. Cannot be used on portable products.
4.. The clearance between bearing and shaft core is small, and the operation activation effect of motor is poor.
Ball bearings:
Ball bearings are operated using round metal beads, which belong to point contact, so it is easy to activate. In addition, ball bearings are used with springs, so the top of the spring supports the metal ring outside the BALLBearing, and the weight of the entire blade rotor is located on the ball bearing, and is supported by the spring indirectly, so it can be used in different directions, angles of portable products, but still to prevent falling, so as not to damage the ball bearing. Resulting in noise generation and loss of service life.
Advantages of using ball bearings
1. The metal bead operation belongs to the point of contact, so it is easy to activate the operation.
2. It can be used in portable products that are often operated at different positioning angles and directions.
3. Long service life compared with oil bearing.
Disadvantages of ball bearings
1. The bearing structure is quite fragile and cannot withstand the impact of external forces.
2. When the motor rotates, the rolling of the metal bead will produce a large noise.
3. The price is high and cannot compete with oil-bearing in cost price.
4. The source and quantity demand of ball bearings are not easy to control.
5. Ball bearings use the elasticity of springs to position them and are not easy to assemble.
